Offered an early Wand C Scott hammer gun Serial No 251Xx =1879
London Address Damascus barrells Engraved locks fox and duck one side foax and grouse other
Interior barrells pitted but servicable, damascus pattern still very vissible
reasonably tight on face chip in forend wood
Some guesstimates about value would be appreciated

Hotrack: Condition & gauge matters greatly. If 12 bore as you describe I would say $800 - $1,200 USD.

With those two issues alone I'd keep looking, There's tons of lower grade Scotts out there.

To me at least: If a gun isn't in at least very good servicable condition*,and isn't worth the cost of restoring then it isn't usually worth owning. There are untold thousand of guns available that meet this criteria so unless you want something to tinker with why bother . *Or can readily and inexpensively be put in this condition. Jim
