Gents:
I have a 1892 Greener 12 gauge boxlock with a broken hammer. I am searching for a source to replace this part. My gunsmith has completed a silver-solder repair but neither he or I are convinced as to the longeity of the repair. In the past I have tried to contact Greener without the courtesy of a response. Any help would be appreciated.

Dont waste your time with Greener's , they wont have any and will charge you an arm and a leg to make one .There is someone in the State's who does very good lost wax castings .I know Dixe Gun Works used to .I saw some that had been done for a hammer gun that was sent to the UK for sleeving a few years back. I'm sure that some one on this site will be able to supply you with their details.

I spoke with Brad Bachelder recently, about repairing a cracked Parker hammer. He explained some sort of pinpoint laser(?) welding and how he could re-patina the hammer because I was not fully restoring the gun.
