I recently acquired this "ole gal" and thought I'd show some pics for those who are interested in old "front stuffers" . She's a 10 gauge with 32" barrels. The gun is in quite remarkable condition for the year. No dents in the barrels and they ring nice and clear. The bores have some usual minor pitting but nothing that renders it useless. I believe it still has the original ramrod. I have a few other Clabrough shotguns but this is the first I've seen that says "Clabrough Bros.(without the JP). Now I'll have to work up some loads!

Yes! I love shooting rst out of mine. Should be open cylinders so go get some ducks, dove pheasants and turkey!

i don't think he is going to use RST's in that one

according to Shelton's book - the lack of Bros means the gun was made prior to 1868 "before John's brother Joseph was made a partner"

you gun looks a lot like the one on page 52 in the book.
