Hello, A friend of mine just received a very nice double from Germany and we have not been able to find anything about the maker. Any info will be much appreciated. I seem to have lost my ability to post pictures (alas, the Picasa albums I used to employ are no longer there). Here is an album with some relevant pictures: https://photos.google.com/album/AF1QipMbj8IXO4MC-N9yJAgQeXKVEuvXPQ36xQ7rS5w4Thanks in advance, JC

JC, lovely to see you surface. From what city did ole Hausmann hail? There were a couple from Zella-Mehlis but I don't know of a L. Haussman right off the cuff.

JayCee,
Picasa evolved into Google Photos. If you want to post a link to some pictures in your Google Photos account, you need to select all the photos you would like to share (there is a checkmark in the upper left hand corner of each picture). Then, in the blue bar that forms at the top of the page after you have checkmarked all the pictures you want, there is an icon that looks like a "constellation" for lack of a better term. It's basically three dots interconnected by lines. When you click that, a window will pop up and you must select "Get Link". Google will create a link for you and you should be able to copy it and paste it here. That SHOULD work, but I've never tried to use that link in a forum - only when sharing pictures with others through email. I hope that helps.

According to the adverts, Hausmann is not German. Rather they are Austrian, from Ferlach. Mike

Hello FSJ, Thanks for your instructions! Here is the "created link": https://photos.app.goo.gl/kZQSgvRAc3dhFFcL9Hope it works. (In the not so distant past I used to share instruction for posting photos here, now I feel rather daft!). Best. JC

Yeah, a Gustloff Werke / BSW / Waffa / Simson offering from 1943 & maybe the Gustloff G was worn down & the owner's name, L. Hausmann, added to the floorplate?

I can't really tell, but the monogram on the left side of the water-table looks to be that of Gebrüder Adamy & may explain the F.A. initials on the flats?

Thank you Raimey, The "polished" monogram on the left is the same striped G as on the right side. Here some more photos with some friends. https://photos.app.goo.gl/WK7474UoQHSApV9b7JC

For now I still hold this to be the Gerüder Adamy trademark? Cheers, Raimey rse
