$400. You're joking right? That looks like a Lion Country Uggie at $1,295 but with way nicer wood. $400 is amazing. I would buy one in a heartbeat if the internals were decent.

Dick,
Would appreciate directions for the importers. It sounds like a nice double to bring to this price oriented southern market.

That wood would retail for more than the price of the gun. Jake

Montenegrin,
Is this a quality gun? Is it currently available in Europe?
It may have been the vertical gun in the photo of the Regal but it was definitly not the Greener looking gun. The difference could have been a finish option. The wood on the gun I saw was much higher grade, the finish shiner, the receiver was more shiney and not as muted. All this could just be a variation since there is no mention on the site of the two very different guns illustrated. It does look from the ad that they will build what you want. But for $400.00?

Dick, The only Daudsons double I handled was the top of the line "Royal" a la Holland & Holland. Quality gun IMO. The factory owner, who proudly pulled out the nicely finished locks for my inspection, said the price would be around 2000 dollars if I remember correctly (IWA Nurnberg, March 2006). - Jani

I talked with the owner today. He told me that it is not the Daudson gun. He has recieved only 2 guns so far and has some more on order to determine if they can hold consistant quality. It is not ready for mass marketing now and I suspect that the next order will not be as good as the guns at SHOT Show.
I am trying to get him to let me bring a gun to the Southern Side by Side.
He is not ready to start fielding a lot of calls yet and asked me to not get everyone involved yet.
I doubt that the price of 400.00 will hold as he has figured out that the gun is worth more than that. I also suspect that the gun will go through the same teething problems that the guns from Turkey have.
I promise to keep you posted.
Best, Dick
