I did find that Beretta bought the patents from Walther. I also have a 24 Remington ehich has the bad habit of throwing hot brass down my shirt sleeve. I have spent a lot of time messing with the 22rf this past year as it isw convienent for me to shoot out of my garage. 63 Winchester, 74 Winchester. 24 Remington. 12c Remington 1903 Savage and this Breetta is the best of the lot. It is as acurate as my two martini target guns.
It is my suspicion that Beretta aquired some people from Walther early on Their 92 pistol is very similiar to the P38. The early 22 was the Gyrfalcon. Only Identification on this gun is calibre. Aut 22lr.and mfg. Beretta Gardone vt Made in Italy. and a 1965 proof stamp. It also has an adjustable trigger that breaks 18 oz. every time. This is how it looks out of the stock
