Yes, yes, yes you may shoot Damascus barrels that are of sufficient minimum barrel wall thickness with loads of the appropriate maximum pressure. How much pressure? That will depend on barrel wall thickness such as no more than 6000 psi for a light gun with thin barrels or barrels with pitting. Some heavy guns with thick Damascus barrels will digest modern factory loads with no ill effects. These heavy guns are the exception of course.
Have your gun checked and barrel wall thickness measured before you load up! Barrel pitting may be too deep to safely shoot a gun with any loads. Lack of pitting may be perfect bores as the gun left the factory or previously pitted barrels which were honed to remove the metal that previously surrounded the pits.
