For sale:
Charles Osborne 12bore BLE. Very nice
action that has recently been stripped, cleaned, lubed & regulated. Internals are free of corrosion and all parts are very nicely polished. Action functions smooth and crisp. Excellent spring tension. Barrels have recently been professionally blacked. Ribs are tight. Action and barrels are tight and on the face.
Furniture has also recently been professionally polished and reblacked. Action & furniture pins and screws are perfect. Deeley latch forend fastener. Gun is equipped with Ross patent ejectors (patent 19395 of 1893) that are in time and function perfectly.
Wood has been recently refinished and looks very nice. Hand rubbed oil finish, all pores filled. Checkering is good, has not been recut, there are some broken diamonds here and there, checkering is fully functional and attractive. There is a slight fitting issue between the buttstock and action, causing a very small gap on the right side of the stock-action fit. The head of the stock is firmly on the action like it should be. There have been some professionally repaired checks on the stock. Unfortunately, the original factory grade wood is not high grade or of great quality. The buttstock & forend are sound and this gun can be hunted hard & shot in its present condition. I do recommend possibly getting the gun restocked in a better grade of wood. The heart of the gun (the action, barrels and furniture) are all top notch and the gun would make an amazing base for a restock, especially for someone requiring specific or special stock dimensions, etc.
This gun would be fantastic in pheasant or prairie grouse country!! PM for any additional info you might require.

The asking price is $1500 plus actual shipping.
