Visited my local gun shop today and saw some very interesting things. There were several high grade LC Smiths in 20 and 12 gauges , Monograms. Also saw a LC Smith 20 gauge Trap Grade. Several Winchester Model 42 Skeet guns. Many Parkers and Foxes as well.
Some interesting English guns as well.
Of interest to me was, a 16 bore Lancaster O/U with double triggers and plain (no rib) barrels. A Haliday 410 with 30" barrels. A Winchester 21-1 engraved Custom with 28" barrels. A 80's Purdey , 12 bore with 26" barrels cased with accessories like new 27K.
But the one gun that stuck in my mind that would be somewhat a project was a DHE Parker with straight grip and beavertail with 32" tubes. One side of the beavertail had a piece missing and there was frosting on part of the barrels. Nothing that money can't fix. Being a Helice/ Pigeon shooter the high dimensions and 32" tubes made me get excited.
But the Southern Side by Side is next month so all my money stayed in my pocket. Well unless I have a weak moment.
