I restocked this early Scottish 16bore hammergun with a dramatic piece of Turkish walnut the client chose. Almost got the oil finish wrapped up, then onto checkering. The action has been annealed and still needs polished in anticipation of new colors.

Damn
I'm drooling on my keyboard here.

Wow that does leave you drooling.......!
Pretty awesome. What are you using for the finish?
Wonderful! Bobby
Wonderful lines, beautiful grain. That vice is awesome!
Gunmaker does wonderful work...Geo
How is the LC treating you?
Looks more like a gorgeous piece of Scottish briar wood.

Beautiful!

Anybody see the seam where Gunmaker sleeved it?...Geo

Hi George, Just guessing, but is it about 1/4” anterior (toward muzzle) to the back edge of the forearm?
Maybe top and bottom view would help:...Geo

Great wood and work.
That last picture is just too cool Aaron
Is your finishing elixir top secret?
Nothing secret about it, just linseed oil and time.
That is some mighty fine work! Please share more photos of the gun when you complete the work. You are going to have one lucky customer.
