Oh Lord please give me the strength to change the things I can change and accept the things I cannot and the wisdom to know the difference. Repent the end may be nearer than we think. God help us all.

Exactly! Stagnant job growth that isn't even keeping up with population growth. A true unemployment rate of at least 15%. A ballooning federal deficit. High gas prices. Hidden inflation due to a weaker dollar. Declining median wages. Even more people on food stamps. A stronger resurgent Al Qaeda and a Middle East moving toward Muslim extremists. An Iran defiantly digging deeper underground as they continue to ramp up enrichment of weapons grade uranium. More silence and stonewalling on Libya-gate. Continued stonewalling on Fast and Furious. In short, a record to be proud of and a record only a complete idiot or someone on the government dole could wish to extend for four more years.

On a positive note, nca225 and Gnomoron the liar can still legally get married in several states.

Sorry LD... no ponies. That's all of the horses asses who voted for Obama that you are smelling.

It may not be as bad as we think, since he isn't running again,he won't have to give away as much "stuff" to buy votes. On the other hand, watch out for a lot of "under the radar" plays to get our guns.

I think that makes it worse. Under the radar policy making through regulation, and probably shift in the supreme court. Two gifts that'll keep on giving without going through the representation process.

Foreign policy may get interesting too.

I always think of Indhira Ghandi when thinking of a politician that became intolerable to those sworn to protect her.No politician is immortal or commands absolute loyalty from all their subjects....I mean constituency.

Its not going to change overnight....much of the damage has been done over the last 4 years....a lot of it will take full effect in 2014 when Obamacare takes full effect and many doctors give up practicing medicine. Yes I know several doctors and even one Dentist that will close up shop rather than work under those restrictions...

And if the House Republicans show they have gonads they can block a lot of Obama's communist agenda.

Another prediction: sometime during this term legislation will be introduced to overturn the presidential term limit so he can run again. Many seniors did not vote this time and many, many young people (read college kids) did.
I give you the possible death of America....brought to you by the youth of entitlement.

But isn't that a constitutional amendment thing..something that requires a supermajority of the states to ratify....Something OWEbama won't be able to muster up.

With the electoral voting process in place and ignorant left wing brainwashing running full tilt for the past 50 years or so in the public schools and colleges throughout our nation.......

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY FOR THE SELFISH IGNORANT LIBERAL VOTERS TO REALIZE THE FRUITS OF THEIR MISINFORMED VOTING HABITS.....THIS IS WITH TRAINING EXERCISES.....

And that specific training exercise is total financial collapse and rampant inflation (a.k.a. Germany 1930), which is close at hand......the ignorant me-me-me takers and mooches in this country, young and old, will then be introduced to a lack of financial ability and entitlement......

The entitled young and old Democrat liberal mooches will then experience a "first hand" understanding of why voting for anything OTHER THAN FOR THE GOOD OF THE NATION AND IT'S WELL BEING is criminal...........

The "brainwashed deprogramming" will then be complete...........

They have been ---"So free, so long and had so much, that they appreciate NOTHING"......

I couldn't agree with Doug more. Like many of you, I was shocked and depressed with the election results. I think America is changed forever. For sure, socialized medicine is here to stay and it will bankrupt our country, IMO. I think Thomas Jefferson would be spinning in his grave if he knew how changed his America is, and for good. I think the only chance for a recovery and what it will take to wake up America is a major depression, and that might not even do it with all these people who want a govt handout in the form of entitlements. I think with the changing demographics in America, things will only get worse and more socialistic without some sort of voter reform. Along these lines, the founding fathers set our system up, such that one had to be a property owner in order to have the right to vote. They did this for a reason. Now, I don't think we need to go that far, but certainly people on welfare and food stamps, or govt relief, and who are receiving all the govt entitlements and are unwilling to work, should NOT have the same right to vote as someone paying high taxes, IMHO. I know this will never happen, but it should be this way if we ever want to save our country from socialism and even worse, Marxism, which I believe is the direction we are taking. God Bless America!! I hope she can be saved and we can weather this terrible storm.

The Democrats see a bright future in the "changing demographics" of the US. Or course "changing demographics" is their politically correct way of saying that Blacks and Latinos are increasing as a percentage of the electorate. But I was amazed as I watched my (white) son and his friends turn from being center-Left in high school to the Right as they hit their mid twenties and started paying a significant portion of their earnings in income tax. I expect the same to happen with the top half of these two minorities. And the ones that are employed in low paying jobs even right now are paying social security taxes and in Texas, sales tax and directly or indirectly, property taxes.

I'm convinced there was massive fraud by people using drivers licesnes issued to NON citizens who have no legal right to vote.....or people tha tused Utility bills to register to vote...again without proving they have a right to vote....thats why democrats are so dead set against using a VALID ID to register to vote or to vote....

YOu can't even vote in third world countries without proving you are who you claim....and you can't vote ANYWHERE in Europe without a proper legal Photo ID.

Rat Moran was caught on video explaining how to cheat the system where photo ID's are not required...

http://www.arlnow.com/2012/10/24/develop...-video-release/

Just an FYI....he is the son of Rep Jim Moran (D) and Nephew of the DNC Chairman for the State of Virginia....this was not a nobody.

Bonehead-you have the most appropriate name.

You will never know the hidden meaning behind his name. Even if you did you lack the intelligence to understand it. It's clear that you still didn't take the radiation that Bilious Bob recommended.

JRB knows the full Story behind my name (trust me you couldn't even guess what it is).....and WHY I picked it around 9 years ago.....I've known him most of that time.

And I am proud of it.......as well as the history of what I've done and accomplished using it. Lets say I am VERY well known internationally in certain circles.

I'm an outspoken but modest person and if you really needed to know.....J.R.B. can fill you in. I rarely toot my own horn.

Here in New Mexico the state issues DL's to illegals, they can then vote. Our new Governor, a republican, is trying to stop the practice but is stopped by the liberal democrats who control the house.
We have a saying here;
"Welcome to New Mexico, land of enchantment, where corruption is a way of life."

Where I vote ID plus voter registration card is required. They cross my name off (now done electronically) the list before I get to the booth. The reason they here is because small business owners (landscapers, construction companies,.....) hire them. They need drivers license to move around to get to work and keep small business people in business. Do you expect them to hitch hike to work every day when their job site varies from day to day?

What I expect is for them to obey the law. I also expect the people who hire them to obey the law. That means these small business owners should be proscecuted for hiring non-citizens because they are creating much of the demand which attracts illegals. We have plenty of unemployed, and plenty of welfare recipients who are not counted as unemployed who could fulfill the employment needs of these businesses. That also means that the illegals should be rounded up and deported.

We have a process and laws governing immigration and eventual citizenship. Unfortunately, our government chooses to barely enforce those laws. My Grandparents and Great-Grandparents followed that process. They did not break the law to get here. They did not get Green Cards and go years without paying taxes. They did not illegally use a stolen Social Security Number. They came here and immediately found work and began paying into the system. They never got Welfare, Food Stamps, or free medical care. They applied for citizenship and learned the English language and assimilated. They most certainly did not vote until they were sworn in as citizens.

Now one final question... in another thread, you suggested I was insulting and embarassing you and other European members here when I spoke of our high gas prices which are still much lower than in Europe. Now it sounds as if you live here in the Southwest U.S.A., buy your gas here, and vote here. W KNIEI indeed!
Posted By: boneheaddoctor Re: America tomorrow - 11/13/12 03:13 AM
Illegals should be deported.....period. Not rewarded with ID's and licenses...
Posted By: James M Re: America tomorrow - 11/13/12 04:07 AM
We will not see any semblence of a program to deal with illegals over the next 4 years. The commiecrats want every one possible to be allowed to stay in the Country. It's votes and more on the welfare roles to support them.
The Republicans don't have a clue as to how to deal with the situation without being portrayed as racists in the "mainstream news media".
I don't know what it will take to reverse this situation but if it isn't reversed the United States as we have know it will disappear. The Southwest where I live is becomming overun with illegals.

When my brother went to vote in Prince William county VA..where there are a LOT of Latinos...and illegals....nobody even asked for a voter registration card much less ANY ID, none...zip, zilch, nada, niente. Just verbally giving your name was enough...
Posted By: skratch Re: America tomorrow - 11/14/12 12:49 AM
It's the same here in NM. My wife and I followed the rules, got our voter ID's. Each time we vote we offer to show them. Each time the response is " No need to, just sign your name. "
Sad........

In Italy they will send you away from the polling station if you don't show up with a legal government issued ID.

No ID....no vote.

How do I know that...Ask JRB. Wife was born and raised in Italy, SHe is now a dual citizen and I have an equivalent of a permanent green card in Italy....and am eligible myself for citizenship there by marriage ( I'm grandfathered into the old immigration laws that have been revised since several times) ...I lived and worked there for 6 years....I have an apartment there (sort of like a rent controlled APT in NYC type thing)...three antique motorcycles there, and I've spent a month there every year for the last 20 years...I even have my own tax ID number there (similar to an SSI # here).

I even have a circle of friends there I've been friends with since 1988 I'm NOT related to by marriage.

I know every part of that city even better than I know Washington DC where I've worked for 18 years.

That would be great- wonder if he knows those three hot Fausti chicks and their custom shotguns that are in almost ever issue of some other shooting magazine that DGJ- Mama Mia-- I would love to own an Italian made fine 12 bore- but sans rocco engraving-- just English rose and scroll for me- But as to BA and double express rifles, where is Italy in that mileu??
Posted By: boneheaddoctor Re: America tomorrow - 11/15/12 12:34 AM
Sorry..don't know any of them.....in fact I would get VERY unwelcome looks if I went into any sports shop....they have very restrictive gun control there....shotguns are one of the few firearms they are even able to get...and even then you have to have a license you pay annually..and you have to prove you are a hunter as well. Most of my guns are actually illegal if they were in the posession of an Italian...

Any weapon that was ever used by any army in the world is classified as a Weapon of war.....(arma de Guerra) and expressively prohibited... And forget owning a handgun...almost impossible legally for the average itallian to do.

That's not saying a lot of people have illegal weapons don't exist as they do....

Need to see what towns those factories are in....wasn't aware of any local to where I stay over there.....But I do know where a torpedo factory is that is local........yeah, as expected a job application I put in there a couple decades ago didn't go too far.

I speak the language fluently..but with a thick American Accent...and pass as a German if I keep my mouth shut.

Posted By: J.R.B. Re: America tomorrow - 11/15/12 12:47 AM
I still laugh how you and Mrs. Bone can chatter back and forth in Italian. But do us a favor though when/if you go back, see if there are any firearm museums to visit and take some pics. They make some very beautiful guns there.

Maybe the Kenyan will look into adopting the Italian firearms restriction system for the United States.
I hope the complacent members of this forum who believe: "None of this gun control pertains to me I just own shotguns." are taking note.

It's been done before:
The infamous GCA of 1968 was taken almost verbatim(the Dodd Bill** fostered upon us by the Conn-Commiecrat) from the German gun restrictions introduced by the Nazi's to get guns out of civilians hands particularly the Jews.
**Before Dodd introduced the GCA of 1968 he had the Library of Congress pull up the Nazi era firearms restrictions and used them as a blueprint. This is well documented.*** A reference is provided below:

Make no mistake about it: We're going to be in for the fight of our lives to retain our freedom to own firearms over the next four years. The only thing standing in the Kenyans way at this time is he doesn't own the House of Representatives.
