Is there a manufacturer of Magnum length straddle floorplates? I'm making the trigger guard by cutting a standard drop box and adding in .400, but I think I remember that not working so well on the floorplate.

Any experience?

What action?
The last one I bought for a magnum length Mauser action (416 Rigby) was from Ted Blackburn. It was maybe 3 or 4 years back I do not know if he is still working or not.
Here is a link:

Believe it or not Numrich had some for about $125 a couple years ago made for Parker Hales Safari PH model rifles. I bought several and sold them all on ebay, good quality too! Check them out. Good Luck Jerry

The floorplate is for a Mauser. I'll check with Wiebe - I don't think Blackburn is doing any metal work any more. Thanks everybody.

Check B Wisner at AR classifieds. I believe he had a couple magnum floorplates listed.

Ted Blackburn is still making metal chips. I picked up some bottom metal for a m70 from him this week.

Thanks SKB, good to hear. We have known each other since the 1980's.
