Thanks for that. I understand that a SXS is not the norm but I will only be a recreational occasional shooter (probably once a month) and the 20 gauge does have a beaver fore end. I still may get the 16 with a beaver fore end -- it's just that I have to order in May with a 25% deposit and wait until October for delivery but I get a full customized gun. I really like both but from what I can glean here, most people recommend the Ugartechea (Spanish) over a DeHaan (Turkey) and I can get it right away. I will probably not be shooting the 16 gauge much -- just like to have a nice gun that will look good in my cabinet and that I can shoot if I want to (my English 16 gauge is probably worth $3-4k and is about 85 years old so I don't want to shoot it).
Thanks
Alan

ER, depends on the ambient temprature a bit, I have to wear a glove on hot days down here in July and August when shooting clays with my AYA 20 bore S/S when the temp is about 40 deg C or 100F+. You could buy a hand guard instead but remember to take it off when you stop shooting. I prefer those anti thermal gloves which have some material in them which will not allow heat through but they are still nice and thin, not bulky. I just wear one on my leading hand obviously, best
