Enjoy this great super 8 video of Duck Hunting and Bird Banding on Avery Island in 1939. Shooting in a suit and tie, Overpainting Mason Decoys, Couldn't tell what kind of SxS and O/U they were using, but wonderful video.

Question, How many of Y'all wear ties when you go duck hunting?

The patriarch of the thirties McIlhennys and the editor of Field and Stream make a heck of a pair of duck hunters. Their dog handler isn't a slouch either.

I visited the Tabasco plant about 20 yrs ago & did a tour of Avery Island while there. The Egrets were nesting while I was there, quite a site. McIlhenny was the founder of Tabasco.

Have been to Avery Isaland in March 3 or 4 times, saw lot of bird life but no ducks. Sent that video to some of my Cajun duck hunting buddies. Told them I expect to see hats and ties when we hunt. We'll see what happens right after Christmas when I get there.
