If the mark is AP that could well be Pedro Aguirre who was in business in Elgiobar. One of the Sarasqeta family ? has also been attibuted to these at some point but I do not think any of them were in Elgiobar.

Good looking gun! Chopper lump, ejectors and probably has the hiden third fastener. Never saw an El Faison in that high of grade. Despite being 3", I would shoot 2 3/4. What does she weigh?

Thanks guys. By my bathroom scale it just breaks the 5 pound mark. Yep, I plan on only putting 2 3/4" through it.

Just a guess, could the AP in the diamond = Arrizabalaga, Pedro? I looked at the webcsite, very impressive, looks to be top of the line gunmaker.

That one is P.A. in an oval. No real pattern to these Spanish marks.

Maybe it's Basque....(But "faison" might mean "plumber's friend").

An appendix in the 2nd edition of Spanish Best by Weiland lists an Parkemi Armeria in Eibar, and a Pedro Arosa Aguirre in Elgoibar, in addition to the top line Pedro Arrizabalaga in Eibar. There was a web site devoted to Spanish gun makers, but my link seems to no longer work. Maybe someone else has a new link, they might show various symbols. My guess would be that it's not an Arrizabalaga, perhaps one of the first two name suggestions.
