I just came across an old Leather breakdown slip for a small gun. possibly small bore stalking/rook rifle or petite child's small gauge gun (??)

Is anyone familiar with the maker (JB Crook Co, NY) or have a better insights into what it might fit? I remember seeing a lovely svelte German single shot break-down .303 stalking rifle that would probably have been very happy in it.

It is stamped "24", "JB Crook Co. Makers, NY", as well as "6" with what looks like an intertwined (yin/yang style) "F" (see 1st image).

a web search shows JB(Jabez) Crook Co. Makers NY fishing gear/accessories Ca1880s but nothing later nor any Hunting related items that I could find.

Slip dimensions (flattened as shown):
Butt stock side; 21" long, 6" wide at top,
Cleaning rod pocket on face of above; 4" wide, 15" long
Barrel slip; 24" long to 1.5" round end-piece (marked for 24" barrel), 4" wide at top, 3" wide at bottom.

I just listed it for sale here since I don't have anything that would fit and it should not be an orphan.

Thanks,
Lee
