Does anyone have any information on a remington 1894 sxs. I believe this one is a DEO grade 16ga abd has s/n 112990. Has,extensive engraving on sides looks to be grouse on one side and woodcock on the other side.
Thanks

If it is a DEO-Grade 16-gauge, it will be the second one to surface. To date, this 1905 vintage example has been the only one --

There have been a handful of DE-Grade 16-gauges surface. Before we can really tell you anything factual, we need to see some pictures. According to the serial number chronology produced by Charles Semmer, serial number 112990 would be an 1899 vintage gun.

Looks to be from 1900 and just checked Semmer's books. Nothing on #112990 in the chapter on D grades.

My mistake, 1899. Can't read a straight line across a page anymore.

Canvasback thanks for posting pictures for me

I do not know a lot about this gun which is why I'm am seeking as much info on it.I would appreciate any information from those familiar with this firearm.
I has two sets of barrels aNd there doesnt apear to be amy cracks in the would. The checkering is worn in places. Im in the process of trying to get better pictures as well as additional information relating to proof marks and other numbers or letters that may help provide more information about this gun.
Would like to know year of manufacture
What grade it is
What value range
And any other information that anyone may have to offer
Thanks
