Today. It was just 2 birds and 2 not very good photos. It was way too hot, 87f when we pulled out.

Today. It was just 2 birds and 2 not very good photos. It was way too hot, 87f when we pulled out. The dog is happy. The day was a success. The rubber duck is a nice touch as well. Bird season is great.

It was a success. Today was a success of sorts too, but we did not pull a trigger and Gus retrieved about 6 decoys. We had fun but no birds. Had a first time hunter in the blind too, so a few birds would have been nice.
That isn't just a rubber duck, it's a Green Decoy. It's "a thing". Probably be seeing some more of them pop up here and there.

I have been using 3 inch 1 1/4 #2 for years through a Briley extended I Mod choke. It is good to aout 60 yards on ducks and about 35 on geese.
