How common are these guns in the United States ?

You have every reason to be proud of your rifle and happy to have it. Shoot it, hunt with it, enjoy it. Deer season ends tomorrow, I hope you were able to use it this year. The problem you will have with it is it will give you a disease, now you will always be looking for "just one more" to add to the collection, and you won't be satisfied until you have every barrel configuration.
