Fiocchi has bought Lyalvale shotshells. And they are going to be available here in the US. In fact there may be some at the Southern in a few weeks

I remember their standard 2 1/2" shells. Long before I owned a British double, I shot with a friend who had one. I handed him a couple on station 1 of the skeet field. After trying the first one, he handed me back the 2nd one and not too politely told me what I could do with my British shells.

Seemed like all the felt wad English CIP loads I used had the same issue. The 2 1/2” 16 gauge VIPs kicked like hell. But, if you had a 2 1/2” 16 that is what you used. Best, Ted

My recollection in particular is of Lyalvales. I don't recall any other specific Brit 16s that bothered me. But by that time, I was likely shooting mostly my own low pressure 7/8 oz reloads in 2 3/4" hulls at targets. For mixed bag pheasant and quail hunting, I did shoot Activ nickel plated loads. They kicked, but they were strictly hunting loads, so it wasn't like I shot a whole bunch of them in a day.

I agree. I had a few boxes of the Lyalvale 2” shells and they are very uncomfortable in a 5 1/2 pound gun. I would shoot an RST shell in one barrel and the Lyalvale shell in the other. It still wasn’t a fun trip around the sporting clays course. Ken

I had several boxes of the 2" Lyalvale I bought while I owned my 2" double. They were unpleasant to shoot. I sent them down the road with my gun and warned the new owner they were excessively nasty shells to shoot. I have shot some of their 2 1/2" stuff which was not nearly as bad but still much nastier than other factory 2 1/2" shells.
