I enjoy it and I've only had one gun returned. To make things right I even paid shipping one way.

My Chas. Hellis weighs 5-8 w/26" tubes, I love carrying it through the tough stuff, very easy to one hand.

I thought I got a good deal at $200 5 years ago but $1300, a steal.

I think someone around here was selling a sidelock 2" gun a while back with 28" tubes, but I don't remember the specifics.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

how much would ole' french 16br of equivalent quality and shape cost? both guns will weigh about the same and 16 can throw 1oz load, but frenchie will likely cost less.

Jager, you'll look long and hard for a French 16 that weighs 5/2. Under 6, certainly; but it'd be a very rare Froggie 16 that'd come within half a pound of that gun. And you go throwing an ounce out of a gun that weighs just over 5#, you're going to feel it.
