Looking at a photo of a model 3200 12g with short 65cm barrels; that would translate to 26" I guess. I asked seller about the chokes and he measured muzzles at 18.0mm and 18.2mm; what chokes would that be? A rough estimate as to the value would also be welcome. Needless to say these guns are quite uncommon over here. Thanks.
With kind regards,
Jani

By far the majority of short barrel Remington Model 3200s were skeet guns, bored skeet and skeet and sported about .005" choke. The Model 3200 Field Gun was offered bored improved cylinder and modified. The Field Grade had somewhat trimmer forearm then the target guns. The Field Grade was only offered from the introduction in 1973 thru 1977. After that the Model 3200 was only offered in Skeet, Trap and Live Bird gun versions.

The actual measurement of the length of the catalogued 26" barrels is close to 25 1/2". If your barrels measure 25 1/2" or near that, they are not cut. A field gun with this length barrel will be marked improved cylinder and modified and a skeet grade will be marked skeet and skeet.

Assuming a standard bore size of .729, which is assuming a lot..

18.0mm = modified
18.2mm = improved cylinder

Thanks to all.
Yes, the barrels are actually 25 1/2". I hoped this is a skeet bored gun but the measurements sent by the seller would indicate a field gun. But IC and Mod seems useful for Compak Sporting that I tried last week with a gun choked too tight. - Jani

If the forend is removed the choke markings will be on the barrels

Thank you kindly, JC.

So now that we have pictures and specifications (25 1/2", IC & M) what would be a fair value for this gun?

With kind regards,
Jani

If it has the factory upgrades it would sell for $750 to $800 in my area .
