I've seen a few very nice Trojan upgrades and I've seen a couple of 'fantastic' Trojan upgrades too.

I use the Dem-Bart handle and the appropriate cutter. Used gently the F-1 works well for cleaning.

They are called bent swiss needle files.At least the ones i bought from Herters 40 or so years ago.You need to break aome of the curved tip off,at least i did.They come in course and fine cut.I liked fine cut the best. Bobby

If you just want to clean out the junk and not actually cut checkering, I've done just that with a dental pick. You can use something from the hardware store that softens varnish-type finishes to soften it up, then clean it out with the pick. You can then just put a light coat of finish that closely matches what's on the rest of the stock back on the checkering, and wipe out any excess.

Steve Olin of Mexico, New York upgraded a Trojan 12 gauge to Invincible Grade without profiling the frame, as I recall the gun. I have never seen a profiled Trojan frame done by a talented filer. I haven't seen the Olin Trojan for several years, but it will probably surface soon.
