The BBC has some odd policies. I believe that TV programmes are not available to non UK registered IP addresses (possibly so that they can sell the programmes to non UK networks later?)
Bizarrely, some BBC on line content is available to all EXCEPT UK IP addresses (apparently because it contains advertising, which the BBC, by its charter is not allowed to do.) I presume this advertising restriction applies only in the UK if the material is available to non UK viewers. Since the BBC is funded by the UK licence payer and taxpayer, this means that those paying are prohibited from seeing what they have paid to have made!

I regularly see video content on sites that won't play unless the device (computer) is in the US. This is not unique to the UK

Lol. A rather peculiar item, it would need restocking for the average built man today. Sold at 4.800.00 hammer price. After auction charges the seller got 4.320.00. An interesting programme, but there's not many of us have a house that costs 200.000.00 a year just to maintain, fortunately. Restoring Stately Homes isn't cheap, even in Ireland.
