Yes, with the RST Nice-shot loads they appear to be the "mildest" of the generally available non-toxic "double safe" loads. I have used them in Parkers, Foxes and some British doubles.

They are safe to use, but I had bad results with it. It does not kill waterfowl well at all, compared to bismuth, tungsten matrix or high speed steel. I can't speak concerning Nice Shot. Never used it.
I don't want any more Classic Doubles loads for ducks.

I've also shot the Classic Doubles ammo in both 12 and 20 gauge. Worst ammo I have ever shot in my life for killing power. Average of 5 shots per duck to kill them. I shot the last 3 boxes of 3in 20 gauge I had at skeet. It was not fair to the ducks to use it on live game. JW

I've used it on wood ducks and killed every duck I shot at with it out of 16ga L.C. Smith. Of course this was in flooded timber where the shots weren't much over 20 yards.
I only tried it a few times and have since bought a 20ga auto for duck hunting in the swamps. The thought of a 16ga at the bottom of a beaver swamp was too much to bear.

The price around here is almost $100 per 25 which is LOCO. I stopped playing when price went above $25 per pack of 10. Sold my Sterlingworth and Merkel 201 long ago and replaced it with 6lb14oz 12ga Ithaca 37 with choke tubes. I could not be happier. Not to hurt anyones feelings but I would NOT buy recent production shotgun that is not steel-shot compatible.

I also like an Ithaca 37. I'm looking for one with three inch chambers that can shoot steel. All the 3in I've come across are configured as deer guns. Are the 3" 37s as nimble as the 2 3/4" guns? Thanks
