I always figured hard shot would help .410 patterns and have often thought about trying bismuth shot in my .410. This seems like an interesting concept for the boards .410 enthusiasts to pursue.

Be interesting for you to start a similar topic over on ShotgunWorld in their reloading section. There are some really advanced participants in that forum. Not trying to minimize the knowledge of this august body but more brains will give more answers and perhaps a clear consensus will be arrived at.
