Have you shot this gun with shotshell ammo yet?
And R ammo?

I shot one 2-3/4" 16 gauge non-magnum bird shot shell. Did fine. Spent shell was partially ejected when the barrel was broken open.
I shot 10 7x57 cartridges (not 7x57R). Did fine except every cartridge took a long pause to extract the casing from the chamber "by fingernails." The ejector did not work, there being no rim on the casing. Accuracy was superb at 50 yards.
Scope optics very clear and scope is zeroed well.
Everthing I own is for sale at the right price.

I will be doing the 7x57R 50-100 yard range tests on 25 May or a little later. I have 60 rounds of 7x57 R ammo. At that time I will also shoot several Brenneke slugs at 25-50 yards to test accuracy. (This is a smooth bore shotgun barrel, of course.) skeettx and Gunwolf and others, I will post the results.

Is this a 16/65 shotgun barrel? If so, I would recommend waiting for the 16/65 brenekke slug ammo coming to the US in August. I wouldn't personally shoot 16/70 in it.

Of course you can shoot 16/70 Brenneke, as with all old guns you only should be sure there is no damage to the barrels!
