Mine has an Anson and Deeley patent use number stamped on the action flats but no indication as to the maker of the action.

The last photo of the gun where we see the most of the stock does look like it's shine is from varnish, but in other pics the wood doesn't seem quite so. I'm hoping it's a trick of the light. At any rate, it's a great gun and I'd love to have it as well.
