If you read the interview with the gushing young bride, she makes the exact same case as the gay marriage lobby does. More than enough connection for fairness, understanding, humanity and social justice, wouldn't you say.

Perhaps the authorities in either the U.S. or Canada will decide to go ahead and marry them anyway. They could easily say that the girl and her father are "ahead of their time" and they could also say, "we don't believe in those rules either". That would be almost like the cock-and-bull scenario you tried to paint King, when you told us your father had converted to Catholicism without belief in the Resurrection.

I don't know that it is legal in New Jearsey, it is simply the law not spelling out clearly who can and can't marry.
At the time the New Jearsey laws were written, it was likely assumed that people knew better than this.

I would be surprised if your prophecy is accurate, Geo. Pedophilia is our children. There was one case of incest in our community by a man whose family had lived here for 200 years. The opprobrium was so great that he and his family moved away and no one knows their whereabouts or heard of them since.
I also don't put much weight on another notion the heavens are falling because of gay marriage; Canada was the first country outside Europe to make it legal and I think nearly 40 US states have come around or are coming around to it now. For better or worse, people change and effect their values through their legislatures.

Seems there are facts, science-based facts and biblical facts and rarely the twain meets, reason for legislatures, majorities deciding, right or wrong.
You'll recall my tongue-in-cheek about Boehner, my man of the season easily keeping balls in the air in spite of the 25 TP holdouts.
TP facts however valid will have greater scrutiny to make the '16 platform of persuasion, where everything Obama says now is for the election.
The pity is the president can do nothing for the next two years, and our prime ministers can do as they please during their full time.
