Anyone know where I can find a safety lever for any MS 1900 to 1950? I don't want to mess with my original and it hits the scope. Thanks

I think Springfield Sporters in Pennsylvania has Greek 1903 parts. And I've seen them on Ebay.

Thanks. Their site says that they are on vacation and has nothing else to look at. I'll keep looking until they come back.

Try Stephen Nelson at Nelson's Custom Guns in Corvallis, OR. He's a specialist in MS restoration. Phone is (541) 745-5232. email is www.mannlicherschoenauer.com. Nice guy, who might just have the part or know where one is. Mike Armstrong

Mike Harrell, The M88 Commission rifle was the "daddy" of these, maybe Springfield Sporters or Sarco has a safety you wouldn't mind altering. Mike

No reply from http://mannlich-schönauer.com. The gun parts dealers that I phoned didn't have one either. I'll keep looking.

You can try Empire Gun Shop 120 Liberty Valley Rd Danville PA 17821 (570) 275-5482
One man operation,,does a lot of shows selling gun parts so might not be there on the weekends. Pete Jr(?) Donato running it now,,took over from (late)Pete Sr
I've bought a lot of parts from them over the years inclu 1903 Greek M/S parts (most recently trigger parts).

Can you post a picture of the safety hitting the scope as well as the mounts and some full pictures of the gun. Depending on the rings and bases it might be as easy as getting a higher ring. For example griffin and howe have a high version of there rings which allows the safety to be used.
