I could not DISAGREE more with hotrack. The DT10 is a great gun and is not an updated 680 series. The receiver is a completely different design, the bbls are interchangable with the ASE/SO series and not with the 680, and the stock and forearm are diff too. There are NO parts that interchange between the DT and 680 series. The DT is a semi production version of the ASE. I shoot an SO4 and an ASE GOLD X and I'm very happy with both but I have my ASE for sale at Indiana gun club and I'm getting a DT10 combo. I shoot bunker with 4 other shooters who use the DT10 and ALL have been trouble free. I have owned 3 Perazzi guns and have found I like the Beretta better for my style of shooting. Get the DT10 and enjoy it. Jerry

Boy this is confusing! Me being Jerry V Lape and sovrapposto signing off as Jerry V. and both posting on the same thread, someone might think we were one and the same. We are not.

Update! I shot Sunday and had a chance to shoot a DT10 and a Perazzi. Shot the DT10 first; I thought it felt better, easier to keep moving than my 687. I was thinking it might be a better deal than what I had and keep some money in my pocket.

Then I shot the Perazzi. Ok now to find a Krieghoff to try against a Perazzi. Once I shot about 10 targets with the Perazzi, a DT10 wasnot an option for me.

I have handled both the DT10 and the Blaser. Bought the Blaser 32" sporting model. I believe the Blaser to be superior due to the trigger mechanism and the quality of observable workmanship. I have had a number of problems with new Berettas, some addressed by the MD warranty facilty, others ignored.

After shooting the Blaser exclusively, I returned to the Beretta 687. I saw target, thought I have pulled the trigger, but no boom. I really had to slap that Beretta trigger, or so it seemed.
