Wonder who Carlos Tips of Frankfurt on the Main might have been? A Texas-born Frankfurt a.M. architect, painter and graphic designer. Markus

Several Simson catalogue copies from the 1927...1935 period on Gunbroker with variations of a design which would make a killer label. Markus

Ahh - now we are making progress! Thanks to all.
Wife says keep up good work and she will soon have enough to put together a proper Trade Label.

Raimey; Here is the gun that brought this on: Simson & Co, Suhl .405 WCF with some custom touches. Note that case lid has no trade label.

Nice; looks like some fantastic wood. Any idea the meaning of the >>S<< in the escutcheon? Can you pleasure us w/ some image of the marks on the water-table & flats?

Since the Simson gun hook design appears to have been in use for a long time; Here's one from a 1922 ad; Maybe it would make a convincing label. Markus

Sharp eye, Raimey. You have spotted two of the customized items. 1. The wood is not from the Simson factory, but Claro walnut from California; custom wood work is by B. Dudley. It includes a right hand palm swell, cheek piece, steel grip cap, sling swivel stud, and Kick Ez pad. 2. The silver S is for my last name, but works for Simson also. Work done here in Dallas. 3. There is another good one and if you do not find it soon, I will attach a pic later.
I found no Simson Triangles anywhere and will see about pix of flats and water tables.
