I'd guess Venus Waffenwerke - Z-M? Any images of the marks?
Cheers,

If you can read the letter before „Waffenwerk" that was left when the bases were installed, a better guess may be afforded.

Raimey rse Looks like 'N' when I enlarge it as far as my Commodore 64 will allow.

Battle, It would be helpful if you would post photos of all the markings, especially proof marks and any markings on the breech face. You will need to remove the barrels to do this. I don't estimate the value of someone else's gun that I don't have "in hand". I will say that it looks like a very interesting fun gun. However it will be a handloading project or expensive custom loaded ammo must be found. The 5.6x35R Vierling is close enough to the 22 Hornet( 5.6x36R) that Vierling cases can be made from Hornet cases by thinning the rim and trimming to length. Brass 24 ga. cases are available, from MagTech( I believe). Mike

I'll get pics in a day or two. But I want to sell it, not something I'll use.

battle, I can't make out all the marks, but I do see a Crown S for proof with shot. and the Eagle N nitro proof. It seems to have been proofed in March 1941( if I read 341 correctly). It shows the Zella-Mehlis proof house mark( pine tree in a heart), giving Raimey's guess of Venus some credibility. If you sell it, where would it be shipped from? Mike
