I loved John Mann's post creating Shep and his wife, Elspith. I don't know if it was the the most commonly read or responded to post in the history of this board but it was sure the best. Wish I had printed it out for my own amusement.

What one has to consider is # of views over certain period of time, and that monstrosity of a thread has been around since May 8, 2007. There is a board dedicated to "Barrel Roulette Guns" initiated by O.D.D. aka Order of Damascus Doubles.

Geo...Not backing off at all. I saw what I saw & have the pictures & letter of authentication to prove it. I'm just not looking to cause problems for anyone especially a dear friend.
Best, George L.

George L., you've told what you've seen and from your posts on this forum, I'm convinced you are knowledgeable enough to form an opinion regarding the bona fides of what you saw. I'm willing to take you at your word on that.
I can also understand your reluctance to cause possible problems for a friend. I have made my opinion of the matter clear (probably clearer than may have been welcome), but I have not meant to accuse you personally of any wrong-doing. I do think your friend should be careful to avoid the appearance of any complicity with what may be a serious and complicated legal matter. Sometimes people involved with things like this can have a dangerous bent...Geo

George L., you have to admit your participation on the board has been short-lived and odd to say the least. Listing several hundred guns for sale for an "ill friend", claiming not to be a dealer and having an uncanny first hand knowledge of the guns was incredibly bizzare. Now you claim to have found a truly significant piece of shotgunning history and state "I saw what I saw & have the pictures & letter of authentication to prove it." Well, people are calling your bluff and you've yet to provide any substantial documentation of your find. The worst part is you puff up about the popularity of your post. I think you've had ample opportunities to redeem yourself but you're losing ground quickly. Put up or shut up.

He didn't even know the correct nickname, let alone see the gun in person. Hell, the nickname is listed at least in a dozen books and articles. A lie is a lie George. Just like selling guns for a "sick friend".

Typical response from someone from Indiana & I really don't have to "put up or shut up". The nickname is as I remember it "Bo Wup" & sounds just like that when it's fired. My friend from whom I bought @ 30 new guns (H&K Fabarm, SIG/Rizzini, etc.) has been given @ 3 more months to live. His name is Ray Permenter. Some of you on the forum may know him. Get a life Coryreb! George L

I missed my oppertunity to hold the gun and possibly shoot it. I can not say i held it in my hands, or that i have proof that it does exist. However, i know that there is no reason for the individual to make it up. (the person who owns it didn't even know what it was at the time) The person requested information based on the serial numbers on the gun. (gun was taken to a highly respected and knowledgable gun dealer) A documentation check was (performed by a highly respected expert) The serial number and the type of gun matched the records once held by A.H. Fox that indicated that it was infact the gun in question. If this is a lie or scam. Allot of very highly respected folks in the business would stand more to loose than they could ever gain. I just hope that "the gun in question" gets the chance to shoot another duck.

I concur with chux. If you want to read this type of verbiage, pick up the latest issue of US Weekly or purchase a transcript from your district court, or any court for that matter. Let's get back to pertinent double issues.
Kind Regards,

After my admittance to having very little knowledge about Nash Buckingham last week, I am now'Running Up To Speed" In fact I have been asked for "ARBP Estimate to Re-create "The Bo-Whoop Super Fox", exactly as it was when the 'Venerable Gentleman" First took possession. I have several Fox Supers "All Papered" by"TMKPon Earth....I have read Bird Evans's Book, prior to this latest Resurgence of "I've Seen, Handled,Sniffed the Chequering that had the actual hands of "NB" Ooze his Sweat deep down in to the French Walnut Stock!...I have one H E SUPER Fox but its being "Upped" to 'XE'Grade that I have already stocked'In Rough".Barry L Hands has some 'Idea's of what the Original Engraving should look like. I have also read Dr W. 'Chubby' Andrews's Nash Buckingham, Beaver Dam and Other Hunting Tales....Excellent Book! Will try to find a Copy..(Good Photos of 'BO WHOOP" No.ONE). I would still like to"See, Handle, etc, etc.the Original Stock!!CC/dt.

Not to be snitty, but the word would be "repro," not "repo." The guns are "reproductions," hence "repro." "Repo," without the second "r", is an abreviation for repossession, as in The bank is sending someone to "repo" my truck because I didn't make the payments. I am sure everyone here would want to be correct. I know I make mistakes too, but here's one we can change.

BOY HOW THINGS CAN GET CONVULUTED WHEN A STORY PASSES THROUGH SO MANY HANDS! All I ever said was that I had seen Bo Wup, held it to my shoulder, read the inscription on the barrels, took a few pictures & was given a copy of the Fox Historians letter with the addressee's name deleted. I will bring the pictures & the letter to Easton. No, I will not have copies made. I do not have the gun & never did. It has now returned to it's present owner & resumed it's rightful place in Fox & NB Legend. I'm beginning to be sorry that I ever brought the matter up.

MP. Thanks for Stock Dim's For 'BO-Whoop' The photo I have with NB Esq. sitting in a Duck-Blind with the Gun ,shows some form of Recoil-Pad. its on p 16 of Dr William Andrews"Beaver Dam" Book. The Photo is late 1940s. Seems the Interest Factor is begining to build around the'Eisenlohr' Fox at Julia's next month, estimate's for well over the 100'G's.....I wonder what "Bo Whoop" will bring? (Plus the Original...Broken Stock of course!)The Parker A1 spl. That Nearly made it to Russia, would (I was told,)have poss made another $75k on top of the $250plus Buyers $. had it had the 'Orig.Lumber on the Big-End'CC/

CC, Don't know how thick the pad was so no help there, the fore-end was something like 9 1/2" long and if it matters I can look it up. Also BW was built without a safety, but you may know that.
