This gun and the Blanch were purchased and imported from a reputable gun shop in UK. They obviously know English doubles better than myself and certainly more than you. Wall thickness is always a discussion had when purchasing, and I was assured they have plenty enough and in proof. Regardless, if a buyer from here decides to buy, they have full return rights with me. I'm not going to stiff a guy if the gun was misrepresented or if they just didn't like it (buyers remorse). Not like you who doesn't offer a return.

And your comment is inaccurate anyway. Most English small bores are built to that weight. I sense a bit of jealousness in your comment. You should buy them and overprice them like you do with the guns you sell.

Ed, minimum barrel thickness measurements are just that. You get that by checking the entire barrel from end to end. Proof bore measurement is 9” into the bore. You minimum thickness might be 20” down the barrel. Anything above .020 is shootable and above .025 deemed good in the trade. .033 and .034 are excellent wall thicknesses. And don’t be a further ass if you can help it. Almost like new wall thickness and looking at the high condition of this gun I suspect it has never needed honing or barrels struck and re-blackened.

Nice gun. If I had not bought two 20 bore Brit guns in the past 6 months, I would be in line.

The weight of a Brit 20 BLE could be 5 lbs to 5-12 for a game gun proofed for 2-1/2" and 7/8 oz. Sidelocks slightly heavier - by an ounce or three.

The point I'm making is, you disparaged and trashed my sale listing when I offered to anyone a 100% return if the gun was misrepresented or just if the buyer didn't like it. But you went on about buyer beware blah blah blah, even when I provided wall measurements. You only did that so you could low ball me an offer for two very nice English small bores.

Well mc, it appears that Ed already provided an answer why he did not give barrel wall thickness measurements for the .410 he is selling. And I really can't blame him for not playing along with the same old Trolls who dump on just about every attempt he makes to sell guns in this forum.

The negative comments from the Nutty Professor and others were simply a vendetta because of comments Ed made in battle's Thread back in June. battle gave MWT numbers in response to Ed's questions, but did not provide details including where those minimum dimensions were. Unlike the usual crowd that trashes Ed's advertisements, it appears Ed actually was interested, and made an offer via PM that was rejected. battle called it a "low-ball offer". As a dealer, frequently buying guns to resell, he sure wouldn't be smart to pay retail. Perhaps Ed should not have made his "buyer beware" comment. But on the other hand, one does not have to go back very far in posts made by battle to find him insulting Ed or saying negative things about the guns he sells. So maybe you and the others who are part of this vendetta should consider that sometimes... past is prologue

I'm not here to defend Ed. He is capable of doing that himself. I just find it entertaining to see hypocritical guys who whine and cry about hypersensitive butt-hurt people who leave this forum. Yet they do all they can to try to drive their own enemies away, and would do a happy dance if they succeeded. Lots of guys here have their enemies, and those they simply dislike. But many do not have the integrity to admit it, or acknowledge the disingenuous games they play.

The Nutty Professor will never change Ed. He has been called out numerous times about his one-turd campaign to defund this site.... complaining all the while that Dave doesn't enforce the rules to his crybaby satisfaction.
