at 5/5 pounds, both these guns may have very thin barrel walls, making them marginally safe for modern field loads...
do you have ability to provide barrel wall thickness measurements?
keep it simple and keep it safe...

Both? What are you talking about, troll? Only one gun is mentioned here for sale. One gun. Get it?
Go piss on your own parade. Everybody knows you have zero interest in buying the gun.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

do you have ability to provide barrel wall thickness measurements? This gun and the Blanch were purchased and imported from a reputable gun shop in UK. They obviously know English doubles better than myself and certainly more than you. Wall thickness is always a discussion had when purchasing, and I was assured they have plenty enough and in proof. Regardless, if a buyer from here decides to buy, they have full return rights with me. I'm not going to stiff a guy if the gun was misrepresented or if they just didn't like it (buyers remorse). Not like you who doesn't offer a return. And your comment is inaccurate anyway. Most English small bores are built to that weight. I sense a bit of jealousness in your comment. You should buy them and overprice them like you do with the guns you sell.

so it sounds like you do not have the ability to measure barrel wall thicknesses... No I didn't say that. I have the ability to have them measured if the buyer so requests. And if the buyer wants to have them measured by his gunsmith and they aren't as stated he gets a full refund. Do you have measurements for that overpriced Pape you have for sale on GI?

Minimum walls are (R) .33 - (L) .34
Now Ed, are you a serious buyer? If those numbers don't check out send it back for full refund offered to anyone here.

If you're a serious buyer I'll get them for you? But I don't think you are, you're just trying to disparage my two guns.

speaking of disparaging, the trolling mal content stan has just trashed your sales thread...
meanwhile, back to business...
i do have interest in both your 20 ga guns...
however, i do need answers to the questions above...
perhaps we should take this private to avoid further troll distractions...

Ed, minimum barrel thickness measurements are just that. You get that by checking the entire barrel from end to end. Proof bore measurement is 9” into the bore. You minimum thickness might be 20” down the barrel. Anything above .020 is shootable and above .025 deemed good in the trade. .033 and .034 are excellent wall thicknesses. And don’t be a further ass if you can help it. Almost like new wall thickness and looking at the high condition of this gun I suspect it has never needed honing or barrels struck and re-blackened.

Nice gun. If I had not bought two 20 bore Brit guns in the past 6 months, I would be in line.
The weight of a Brit 20 BLE could be 5 lbs to 5-12 for a game gun proofed for 2-1/2" and 7/8 oz. Sidelocks slightly heavier - by an ounce or three.

Ed is a troll. Not interested in facts, only his own snide, moronic remarks, like they held a bit of wisdom. Most likely this is the only board he has not been banned from. I don't complain about his vastly overpriced guns, but he can not do the same for others. So back on ignore he goes.

well battle, an offer is the beginning of a deal...
it often leads to a counter offer, which you failed to make...
as an opening, I offered you $4000 for both guns, which is not low ball...
you declined to do business, which is fine by me...
what is not fine by me, is your bringing this up now in a negative, deceptive context...
to what end, I doubt if there is one...

The point I'm making is, you disparaged and trashed my sale listing when I offered to anyone a 100% return if the gun was misrepresented or just if the buyer didn't like it. But you went on about buyer beware blah blah blah, even when I provided wall measurements. You only did that so you could low ball me an offer for two very nice English small bores.

end of discussion, one would think... looks like that ed, give it a rest. You have got no cred here. None. I've bought 2 guns from battle. None from you. Why is that? 'cuz you're a crook in my book. Well, this is certainly interesting.... We have the Nutty Professor admitting that he would not buy a gun from Ed, because he feels he is a crook. So he was obviously pretending that he was actually interested in the Army and Navy .410 that Ed is selling. It looks like that act was simply dishonesty to cover the Trolling he was doing in another attempt to derail Ed's sale. Gotta love how some phonies whine and cry about people who break the rules... yet they feel entitled to break the rules themselves. What right does this petty hypocrite have to disrupt gun sales here, and also screw Dave out of his $12.00 fees? It seems like there needs to be a bit more Moderation around here...

keith, like trump, i like the jealous and envious wannabees keeping my name in the news on the front page...
free advertising helps toward finding prospects...
some prospects actually turn into sales...
trump gets alotta negative coverage in much of the media...i get alotta negative coverage on this for sale forum...
but then there is trump's bigly positive poll numbers... and dare i say it again...
look at my bigly positive positive on gunbroker, where i as ed1 have sold hundreds of fine doubleguns over the past 20 years or so...
pretty much negates the negative excrements spewed forth by but a miserable few mc's (mal contents), that lerk in the creavices and other hidden dark places of this otherwise fine doublegon forum...

Well Keith we are still waiting for the barrel numbers from edd. Well mc, it appears that Ed already provided an answer why he did not give barrel wall thickness measurements for the .410 he is selling. And I really can't blame him for not playing along with the same old Trolls who dump on just about every attempt he makes to sell guns in this forum. one of the reasons for my success as a hobby gun dealer, is when legitimate honest buyers ask legitimate honest questions, they get quick legitimate and honest answers...
illegitimate, dishonest malcontents, such as those who trash my threads and posts, are ignored... I appreciate your earlier reply to me in the Army and Navy .410 For Sale Thread. It confirmed what I already knew. The negative comments from the Nutty Professor and others were simply a vendetta because of comments Ed made in battle's Thread back in June. battle gave MWT numbers in response to Ed's questions, but did not provide details including where those minimum dimensions were. Unlike the usual crowd that trashes Ed's advertisements, it appears Ed actually was interested, and made an offer via PM that was rejected. battle called it a "low-ball offer". As a dealer, frequently buying guns to resell, he sure wouldn't be smart to pay retail. Perhaps Ed should not have made his "buyer beware" comment. But on the other hand, one does not have to go back very far in posts made by battle to find him insulting Ed or saying negative things about the guns he sells. So maybe you and the others who are part of this vendetta should consider that sometimes... past is prologue I'm not here to defend Ed. He is capable of doing that himself. I just find it entertaining to see hypocritical guys who whine and cry about hypersensitive butt-hurt people who leave this forum. Yet they do all they can to try to drive their own enemies away, and would do a happy dance if they succeeded. Lots of guys here have their enemies, and those they simply dislike. But many do not have the integrity to admit it, or acknowledge the disingenuous games they play.

wow...what a compulsive malcontent...
who even says never pay dave one more dime...
i'm getting bored with this guy who tells us not to support this fine forum with a few bucks now an then...
either chip in or go away... The Nutty Professor will never change Ed. He has been called out numerous times about his one-turd campaign to defund this site.... complaining all the while that Dave doesn't enforce the rules to his crybaby satisfaction. Yet he feels entitled to continually break the rules himself, and he has done so for longer than I've been here. If the Canuck smells hypocrisy, it isn't hard to see where the stench is coming from. Maybe one day Dave will grant his wish and give him the boot. Then he can try this shit on the Upland Journal forum he likes so much. . Meanwhile, this Tolley 20 gauge has already been sold, and we can only hope Dave got paid. So maybe it's time to lock this Thread since all it is now is a vehicle for the Nutty Professor's personal attacks and incessant Trolling.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.
