Every "original" Parker Reproduction I have seen has had a skeleton butt plate. Any one ever see one originally furnished with a rubber recoil pad? The reason I ask is that on the end label of the boxes that the Repros came in there is a place to check off either skeleton or rubber butt. If they weren't offered with a rubber recoil pad, one has to wonder why it was shown on the label.

Rubber did not mean "Recoil Pad", it ment "Hard Rubber Butt Plate"{like most of the old Parkers had). They were an option, but I don't think any were ordered.

A 28ga Repro sold on gunbroker about four months ago with a DHBP, the only one I've ever seen out of hundreds. I asked the seller if it was original and and he said he didn't know, " 'casue it was a consignment gun." It looked pretty good though and the dimensions didn't indicate anything had been cut off the butt. I'd love to know if they actually made any. The checkered butt looks cool but its not very practical.

The skeleton butt plate is really nice--as long as the LOP fits you.

I too cannot recall ever having seen a Repro with one of the old dog's head buttplates, but I remember them being offered as an option.

I have some old boxes for A1 in the white and label is not the same. Is there anybody with a DHE box who could confirm that this label is similar Personnally, I have never seen DHE other than with skeleton . And since it is unheard I am surprise to see this label. It could be a special order from the customer to the Middlesex team, I mean the buttplate not the label.
Any body could confirm the label is original ?

darnation,
I have three Parker Repro boxes and all three have the same label as shown in the above pic.

Don and Larry,
I have several of the Parker Repro brochures (not all of them, however) and none mention DHBP's as an option.

Well, some of my early ones show the DHBP as an option.

The label on my DHE 28ga box shows the rubber plate as an option.

Don,

Would you please identify which brochures you have that show the DHBP as an option? I would like to search them out and add them to my meager collection.

Thanks,
bamboozler
