Very close to the end of this project. I received the gun today after it has spent the last few months with the stocker getting dressed out in a new stick of medium grade english walnut, the barrels and trigger guard will be reblacked and debating whether to let the chokes out just a wee bit. When its all said and done, this old Greener should make a fine dove gun.

My stocker was sure to let me know that inletting the side safety was no fun at all..

All I can say is .....WOW and WOW again!! What a wonderful looking gun. You should be as proud as a peacock. So pretty, you don't want to shoot it.

Congratulations!!!

Greg

I won't say that you had a sow's ear before, but that stick of "medium" English and your proposed reblacking will pretty much give you a new silk purse. Nice.

The case is the standard canvas and leather from Jeffs Outfitters...its a decent case for the money ($129 I think), the barrels are 30" long + the Greener bolt extension, it makes for a tight fit. The trade label is a repro and it came from Galazans, I cant believe I paid that kind of money for a piece of paper (and probably never will again), but I thought it would look somewhat "proper" I guess.

That looks mighty fine...just lovely.
But that top toe piece screw looks a little odd...not starting a nitpicking thread here, but it just don't seem as nice as rest of the fine work..perhaps its just a "practice" screw?..as they might be engraved later??
All in all a smashing job
