The checkering looks borderless to me, but hard to tell from the pics. Is this a re-stock? I wouldn't have thought a Crescent had borderless checkering. Nice looking gun though!

Raimey - I have an Enders Royal American, so there are some that aren't on that extensive list. Crescent was an amazing producer of guns!

battle - that gun looks like a Baker to me.

Norm:

So, is there a correct list somewhere? Or would anyone care to add or delete any on the long list I copied?

Kind Regards,

I could be wrong, but if Enders Royal American was left out, others probably were too. Maybe not, it's a heckuva list. Thanks for posting it.

Local shop has one of them things in excellent original shape. The timber and checkering does not look remotely like the one in pics above. I'm not suggesting "farm tool" can't come with great timber, mind you. Early Marlin 0/U 20 br with separated barrels in rack at local shop has wood 2x as fancy as the one above. Factory original all the way matey! Kinda cool I might swing by today trow down cool $400 and bring it home. Something so dazzlin should not linger in rack for months!

Your right, the side locks and screw locations all shout Baker to me as well. The firing pin location also leads me to believe it is a Baker, Baker and not a Folsom, Baker. The wood looked pretty nicely figured for any original Crescent I have ever seen.
