How do you value a gun that there is very little history, or for that matter, very little "similar sales examples" to reference? My insurance policy has a "stated value" clause where as any gun I add is covered up to $1500 individually (without written appraisal)and $30,000 max for total loss. All though I'm sure there is some fine print in there somewhere, I feel better about being covered with a seperate policy.

I need to figure out what the "stated value" is going to be for this gun before I update my Papers in October. I know what I paid. But I think replacing it would not be an easy task.

Any opinions on value?
