I feel your pain jOe, though I dont have a problem with punt guns for sport as its played today. I find things like putting out game feeders for deer is a turn-off for me. The way I view it, you first turn Bambi into a pet by feeding him every day and then you kill him when he comes in for his dinner. Thats standard deer hunting practice here in Texas and I understand, what with the amount people spend for deer leases they expect to be guaranteed something, even if it means shooting a semi-domesticated deer. However, theyd get more and better meat by making a deal with the rancher to just shoot one of his steers. That said, just because I dont want to hunt like that doesnt mean I frown on others doing it, I just dont see any sport in it, nor do I see any sense gratification such as one gets when theyve worked hard stalking their prey.
