That's one of the good things about those old Bobwhite models. Usually, inexpensive 28ga doubles are made on 20ga receivers as a cost-saving measure. So you end up with a 28 that's heavier than the same gun in 20ga--which defeats one of the main reasons people like 28's in the first place: reduced weight. The Bobwhite 28ga is built on a scaled frame.
