Time for a little more herd thinning. My .222 Ruger No. 1 is listed as lot 1116 in the Amoskeag No. 141 auction this coming weekend. Around 1970 John Warren did some engraving for me. He also added an ebony forend tip with extra checkering, installed a steel grip cap, Pachmayer recoil pad, inletted sling swivel bases, and improved the trigger pull. 1971 Gun Digest shows the receiver sides in the Engraved Section. It was a great little woodchuck gun for quiet shooting without upsetting the locals. Now, of course, the Swat Team would be called.....
