A good friend has a Winchester Model 21 that is slightly off face and would like to have it repaired. Does anyone know a Smith that is really good with 21's? I'm not interested in sending it to Galazan. Thanks in advance for your help. Gerry Addison

Usually replacing or build up the locking bolt puts a 21 right. Every once in a while I have had to build up the hook. A new bolt from Galazan properly fit and you will likely be good to go.

I'd be careful who I sent it to....

I've heard hOrror stories of model 21's being send back several times before the gunsmurfer finally got it right.

SKB can do it, and do it right.

If you live long enough and have plenty of postage....

Philip did one for me and the fit is great and his price was rational ( not cheap) 210-313-5988. The best action/metal man I have used in 50 years of trying.

The question was about who could fix a Model 21 correctly... not who was the most prolific at use of this forum for free advertising of his businesses

How is the weather in Pulaski Billie?

I was bummed Dave locked the last thread where you were ranting, as usual. I especially enjoyed the part about unions. Too funny. There may have been a joke in there somewhere, but it was clearly way over your head. Then again there is a good chance you have no sense of humor. Take care Bill. I have been enjoying our exchanges, especially since you have come out of the closet.

It is about a 500$ job to replace the bolt. I am booked up until December. Priorities remember......it is hunting season.

You know if you'd learn to control yer hate and stay off the inter web you'd get more done.

Just take yesterday for instance I got a lot done and spent about 5 minutes messing with you...made my day go by so smooth.

My day was very productive yesterday as well. Only took a few minutes to get inside the small heads of you and Billie.

As I predicted yesterday, you are full of something Brown and foul smelling, as usual.

Stevie, I'm not sure just how much time you spent posting and reading posts yesterday. But you spent a substantial amount of time doing those things the day before. In addition, you made some rather dubious claims about all the other things you did.

You said that in addition to posting and reading posts every few minutes, for most of the morning and early afternoon... You also bedded a rifle, went hunting, packed some guns for shipping, went to the post office to ship them, and also went grocery shopping.

I don't see how that would even be possible. In my opinion, you would either have to be cloned... or be telling LIES again.

You claim that you had worked through lunch and needed to eat lunch or you would be in violation of Union rules was hilarious.
You have said you own your business. As a business owner or part of management, Union rules concerning lunch breaks would not apply to you.

Then you told us some bullshit about going on strike against yourself, and that scabs would not cross your picket line.

I don't think that making up shit is going to attract customers. And letting them see you spending so much time here acting like an idiot, while you claim to be booked until December, is going to make them realize you are playing games while they are doing without their guns. Please continue to do the same stupid things.

Off to take the dog to the veterinarian I do hope that is OK with you Billie. Let me guess, you have never had the balls to work for yourself. If you did you would realize setting your own schedule is one of the benefits of being self employed. Notice my hours are by appointment only. Take care in Pulaski.

Oh really. I'm sure that your customers who are patiently waiting for their guns to be completed.... while you screw the pooch and spend hours acting like a complete idiot... are OK with that.

And that line about your union mandated lunch break, as a business owner, was a real keeper. Anyone who has ever been in a union or dealt with a union know that is horse-shit.

Watch out, your subcontractors might cross your picket line against yourself, and steal your customers.A strike against yourself... that is more delusional than some of the crap King spews. Funny stuff. If only stupidity paid the bills, you'd be one of King's ONE PERCENTERS.

I know all about unions having been a member of a couple of them. I can thank the CWA for many profitable years that put me through college and helped me to buy my home among other things.

Not my only experience working as a union member though. My first part job as a shelf stocker at the local grocery was union too. I made minimum wage, $3.15 and hour and paid a dollar per pay period for the privilege of saying I was a union member. Never quite sure what I was getting out of that one....

The great thing about the last collective bargaining agreement here at Bertram & Co is that in addition to paid lunch breaks, hunting trips and bird dog retirement are now also covered. Socialism at its finest.
