This is a little later than normally dealt with here, but does anyone know whatever happened to a stockmaker by the name of Mike Conner. He made custom stocks in the mid sixties and seventies. I last saw his name in the 1976 Gun Digest. He started working in Arizona, I believe under the tutorship of Dale Goens. He later moved to Alaska. He had advertisements in Rifle magazine, and some of his stocks were illustrated in GD. He just seemed to drop out of sight very suddenly. I thought his stocks looked very handsome.

Thought I'd jump in since no one responded.
I remember his seeing his work in magazines and I thought it looked pretty good for the time. Contact George Caswell at Champlin's I'm sure he'd have some idea. He's handled as many custom rifles as anyone from that time period.
