No 303, but 304 - an awesome, unique pair of Merkel Over Unders, see more:

So, is there a difference in mechanics, as compared to model 303?
No Difference? Just count the number of sidelock pins on the 304 pictured above and compare it to photos of any 303...the 304 has two sear trains on each side (safety interceptors)...as far as I know, all post war 303s have one sear train only (each side)...and...I think all 304s are pre WWII...note no hand detachable locks like many 303s have and the protruding barrel lump indicates a quad lock-up (just like most 303s)
The locks are hand detachable. It's written on the Gewehrkarte and you can see it on the 6th picture:

Can one believe those case-colours on the receiver? Also, the right hammer looks different from the left but it just may be the perspective.

I didn't see that 6th picture before....My 304E looks very similar but is not hand detachable...it also has a one piece fore end and a straight grip
Raimey:sorry, I have no more pictures!
Cheers,
Wolfgang
No worries. But can you put that on your bucket list the next time you capture some images of an O/U sidelock?

I just asked a friend, maybe he can help, we'll see.
