I have one of the early Browning Citori shotguns that have fixed chokes and no engraving. The shotgun is blued and has no silver surfaces. It is in nearly factory condition and is a fine looking O/U. I was wondering what year production was started on these shotguns? These would make a great canvas for Mr. Ken to some of his fine scratching.

The Citoris started in 1973 or 1974. I bought one in fall of 1974.

This link should get you to the table that discusses the Citori's. Niklas was right on. Production is stated as starting in 1973.

My Citori is one of the first guns. Midwest states that there are no parts available. Mine is just like new.
