I've got a project gun that has been sitting in a box for a really long time........

Beretta 682 sporting action was annealed, now I need someone to get rid of existing engraving so I can then have the action case colored.

I'm looking for it to be clean of all engraving on the sides and action bottom.

Got any ideas on who I can contact for a job like that?

I'm not looking for master class work on this one. This is more of an experiment.

Thanks,

Josh

Couple of files and some different grit papers should do it.

Turnbull has a video on how to prepare an action, it shows the different techniques to smooth an action

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

Like Rob said. Be careful with the file to not let it get off sides. The sand paper wraped over a length of key stock (to make sure it's flat) works well. Polishing isn't that hard of you are careful and take your time.
