I got an email this morning listing all these RBLs available for immediate delivery: http://connecticutshotgun.com/rbllaunch.html
Some of them even have a full set of triggers.

Most of these guns have been up for sale for some time now. One of them has some pretty plain wood and is rated as a $350 wood upgrade. I think they'll be setting on these for a while with the average price at around $4k. Money's tight.

I just find it so hard to swallow that they didn't make the receiver-wood fit at least a little better.

I think it's good that the wood is proud enough to allow for someone to sand it down to allow recheckering by hand of the deeply burned checkering. If I had taken delivery of the one I ordered, I would have sanded out the checkering, recut it, and probably filed the faux engraving off as well. That's a lot of rework on a $4k gun. I cancelled.

Looks like you were not the only one that nixed that order.

I think you are mistaken, I have been to the factory 2 times and have inspected the guns very closely. The wood to metal fits on the guns are as good as any guns out there that I see. The metal to metal fits are perfect on my guns and the ones I have seen.

All I know is even in the photos on the link you can see the wood is proud of the receiver by 1/32 or so.

From what I've seen, the wood to metal fit is as good as, let's see, a Perazzi maybe? And from what I've heard, CSM has bent over backward to correct problems that customers have caught. What kind of cranks me is the BT forearm - it's fat and sits kind of low from the barrels.

But we're off topic here. Yeah, CSM has them for sale and it's nice to see what you're getting ahead of time.

I cancelled for the same reason as Chuck H.

I cancelled because they were careless about quality control on the early guns shipped, leaving customers to decide whether to live with cosmetic problems, go through the hassle of returning for fixup, or sell it.
