This my first post on your forum and I hope I am not bending protocol by placing a WTB request here. I recently acquired a relatively nice Stevens Ideal in 25-20SS. After some extended search and assistance by other single shot enthusiasts I have been able to accumulate a number of RMC unfired cases. I have queried members of other SS boards to see if anyone might have a set of used 25-20SS dies they need to find a home for without any luck. I thought I would pose the question here. I know RCBS and CH can provide dies but the cost and lead time motivated me to see if there were any used tools available from the SS community. Thanks for your attention. Terry

I do not have said dies, but I used to shoot a .25-20 a fair bit. I generally breechseated so dies were not very important for that. Given that the brass fit into the chamber at the get go, when had to load fixed ammo, I crimped with the .25-20 repeater die and was good to go. All one needs is a shell holder and a crimp die and life is good.

Sorry I don't have a extra set of dies but wanted to let you and others know that Jamison says it will be making .25-20SS brass in the next month or so. I'm on their call list when they have a price and date. I need the brass for my .22-3000 so I'm hoping the more people who sign up the better chance they will make it. Until then my .22-3000 is retired.

I shoot a Bohemian single, bolt with full length stock in 6.5X41R(25-20SS) and my only option was to order 4D from Buffalo Arms( http://www.buffaloarms.com ) along with brass. They also have the 25-20 Jamison. Most of the guys who new what 25-20SS was said they used the cases for 22R Lovell. The 6.5X41R is a neat little case & I prefer it to the 25-20 Win., which can just about be purchased across the shelf. Kind Regards, Raimey rse

Thanks for the tip Michael, I've just got off the phone with Jamison. I'd love to be able to do more shooting with my 3 Lovells.
