I have an old Flues Grade 5 which I infrequently use for trap. It's a 32" gun that suits me well, but every 4th shot or so I have difficulty closing the gun: you can see the drag mark of the firing pin on the shell. When I do close it, the sear does not set and when I pull the trigger, nothing happens. When I break the gun open thereafter, it closes properly, cocks and fires reliably. Does anyone have an idea why this intermittant problem occurs? I know that with the double Flues, the cocking rod wear is a problem. Does this also affect the trap gun?
